bar mitzvah heart

I finally edited through all of the photos I took at my nephew’s bar mitzvah in Virginia.  They are over 150 images for me and my family to go through, but since that is too much for the blog, I thought I would make it fun.  I was just sent this cool shape program, which lets you choose photos and it turns them into a shape (see below).  I love it!  I’m seeing it’s potential for event albums and for fun collages.  Post a comment and let me know what you think…

Lisa - So great! Really creative idea! Love you!

Michelle - I love the shape! As you look through the pictures it is like discovering little hidden treasures along the way!

Garett - GREAT photo collage Ali!

girls, girls, girls {south florida family photographer}

I had a great visit from one of my closest friends from NY this past weekend.  She comes down to FL once a year, and we always try to fit in a photo shoot of her beautiful girls.  This year, my daughter and her daughter have become email pals, and they were so excited to spend time together.  After playing at my house in a giant box (so much better than any toy!), we did a quick studio shoot and then moved on to the park.    I miss her already and can’t wait to do it all over again next year!

After returning from my crazy trip to VA  (during which my 8 year old daughter broke her arm), it was wonderful to have such a fun photo shoot at the park.   Miss “M” was truly a delight, with her beautfiul party dress and amazing curly hair.  She really does have the most fantastic hair I have possibly ever seen.  With her mom and brother along, we were all relaxed and just had a good time.  There were too many too choose from, but below are some of my favorites.   In the next few days, I will also try and post some of the images from my nephew’s bar mitzvah this past weekend.   Enjoy!

Tracy - LOVE these shots! What a beautiful girl with amazing hair.

Jen - Omg! That hair!! I WANT it! Great shots, Alison!

Photographing my own children is probably one of my most frustrating jobs.   My own children can definitely be my most challenging at times (even more than my nieces and nephews!).  So, I took off from work this weekend.  And while I was “relaxing,” I decided to take the kids to the park and sneak in a few pics.  It was so NOT relaxing, and after this past Sunday I think I might leave my camera at home for awhile and just enjoy my time with them!

On another note, thank you to all the moms who contacted me about the Newborn Casting Call.  I have all f my slots filled and am so excited to use my new cocoons, hats, fabrics, etc.  As soon as the first baby is born (about a month), I’ll start posting the images.   Make sure you check back!

Kid Quotes Book {south florida child photographer}

Here it is – the custom album that is part of the new Kid Quotes Mini Session! I’ve attached some sample pages that will be custom designed with your child’s answers. The pages are beautifully designed using vintage papers and the images from your session. It is a very sentimental gift for Mother’s Day or Father’s Day, for parents and grandparents.

Don’t miss out – only a few sessions are available, so book early!
