photo party

I had my first photo party this week, and it was a lot of fun.  My very good friend, Jennifer, hosted it at her home, and I brought my studio there.  I photographed some familiar faces and some new ones and all the while the  kids played together.  I even brought Reese with me and everyone held her and played with her so I could take the photos.  I think everyone really had a good time (I did!), and I hope to do more of these events in the future.   It is a great way to introduce your friends to my portraiture, and then everyone gets to hang out!

I love photographing siblings and capturing their relationships.  Here are a few of the images:

almost rained out

We were rained out once and almost got rained out again for this family shoot.  I am so glad that we waited out the weather and went to the park.  The S family was a lot of fun, and I was able to see the girls’ personalities shine through.  At one point, we had to wait out a shower in the gazebo of the park.  Everyone was a great sport, and the photos turned out beautifully!

boys will be boys!

I had not seen these two boys in years!  I photographed both of them when they were babies, so it was amazing to see them so many years later.  They were shy at first, but definitely broke out of their shells.  By the end of the shoot, they were running around and we had a great time!
