It was a crazy day at the Coral Springs Mall yesterday for the Back to School weekend and the annual Kids Konvention. I had a table and spent the day there, meeting new people, talking about photography. It was great that so many people stopped by to talk with me, sign up for email updates and to win a free session. Because so many people entered to win the free studio session, I couldn't pick just one person. Instead, I picked a few and set up a day of mini sessions in September (just in time for holiday cards and gifts!). Thank you to everyone who came by and I look forward to seeing many of you in the future!
I had my first photo party this week, and it was a lot of fun. My very good friend, Jennifer, hosted it at her home, and I brought my studio there. I photographed some familiar faces and some new ones and all the while the kids played together. I even brought Reese with me and everyone held her and played with her so I could take the photos. I think everyone really had a good time (I did!), and I hope to do more of these events in the future. It is a great way to introduce your friends to my portraiture, and then everyone gets to hang out!
I love photographing siblings and capturing their relationships. Here are a few of the images:
One of my favorites clients came by for a photo shoot of her children with their cousins. But, it turned into a great family session with my client and her sister and all of the kids. My favorite photos are actually the last ones, when we piled everyone together – it looks like a giant hug.
We were rained out once and almost got rained out again for this family shoot. I am so glad that we waited out the weather and went to the park. The S family was a lot of fun, and I was able to see the girls’ personalities shine through. At one point, we had to wait out a shower in the gazebo of the park. Everyone was a great sport, and the photos turned out beautifully!
My adorable nephew, Eli, was over the other day, and I was able to get a few shots of him. He was a little serious, but oh so cute. Check out those eyelashes! He and Reese had a great time chasing eachother up and down the hallway.
