alexis + aaron get married - part one {florida keys wedding photographer}

Alexis and Aaron had the most unique and beautiful wedding last weekend in Islamorada, Florida.  It was a destination wedding for them, and they rented a lovely, spacious house in Islamorada and had their families and some friends stay there with them for their celebration.  It was a true DIY wedding, from Alexis' wedding dress, to the decorations, the food, the music, and even their wedding vows. As for uniqueness, I could go on and on, but here are just of few of the amazing details that made this wedding so incredible...Alexis rappelled from the second floor balcony and was met on the ground by her father, who then walked her down the aisle.  Aaron and his brother played guitar and sang an original song during the wedding procession.  The couple's wedding rings were passed around to all the guests during the ceremony, so that each person could give a blessing to the bride and groom.  They made 1000 handmade paper cranes for good luck and hung them as a garland over the ceremony site.   Immediately following their first dance, Alexis and Aaron jumped into the swimming pool!  Then, their parents and bunch of friends and family jumped in too!

But, the most beautiful part of this wedding was truly Alexis and Aaron.  They met at a wedding less than a year ago and fell in love soon thereafter.  Truly, deeply, madly in love.  The kind of love where they adore and value each other, where they are real friends, and where they honestly know how lucky they are to have found this love.  They spoke their own vows to each other at the wedding, and  there was not a dry eye on the beach.  Every person there was touched by their words, and their vows to love the other without holding back.  Just listening to them, made me feel blessed and lucky to have the love I have in my own life.  It was such an intimate ceremony, and we were honored to be there and to be a part of such a beautiful beginning to your lives together.  Enjoy your Sneak Peek!

I happened upon these handwritten notes when I first got to the house in Islamorada and thought they looked so imperfectly perfect scattered on a table.

I loved Alexis' smiles as she is walking to see Aaron for their first look.

Everyone deserves to be hugged like this in their lifetime...

We found such gorgeous light behind the trees.  Here are Alexis and Aaron holding just two of the 1000 handmade paper cranes they made for the wedding.

After working on this post, I realized that I have way too many images that I love to post in one blog.  And so, Part II of Alexis and Aaron's Islamorada Wedding will be up in the next few days - check back soon!
