It is finally fall!  Time for some cool weather, for drinking warm apple cider, for jumping in a big pile of colorful leaves ... oh wait, we live in sunny South Florida, so I'll have to settle for just picking a pumpkin. We found our pumpkin patch this year in Davie, down Flamingo Road.  We had a good time, each of us picking different size pumpkins.  But it is just not the same as when you are up north, at a farm, picking the pumpkin off the vine.  I REALLY miss that!!  I miss the leaves changing, the cool weather, snuggling under warm blankets, I just miss Autumn (sigh).  At least it was cool out Sunday morning for our pumpkin picking time.  I always fit a bit nostalgic when the weather changes; it reminds me of my childhood and gives me that feeling, like a big heavy sigh.
