The Dream Makers Gala for Debbie's Dream Foundation {south florida event photographer}

Many of you who know me or know about me from reading my blog, know that Debbie's Dream Foundation is very close to my heart.  Founded by Debbie Zelman who was diagnosed with Stage 4 stomach cancer two years ago with the purpose of finding a cure for stomach cancer, Debbie's Dream has become a mission for so many who know Debbie and even for those who have just recently met her.  Already, in the short time that Debbie's Dream was started, the foundation has raised over $100,000 toward funding innovative research to find a cure. This past Friday's Dream Makers Gala was the culmination of so many volunteers' enthusiasm and hard work.  Debbie calls us her "dream team," but really we are group of women who donate our time, give our hearts to this cause, and work our tails off to make things happen.  I only wish that everyone could have such wonderful women in their lives.  It really does take a village.

The Gala was held at the lovely Newport Beachside Hotel and Resort in Miami.  They were also one of the major sponsors of the gala and really went above and beyond in support of this event.  So many businesses donated to their time to this event - Kingme Productions, Dalsimer Florist, Sarah Renee Events, and Full Throttle Entertainment, to name a few.  Debbie looked beautiful, surrounded by her amazing family, her generous friends, her doctors, and many people from the community who came out to support her.  She is an inspiration to all of us, constantly fighting for her health, but also opening her heart and her life to find a cure for everyone with stomach cancer.  I know that as a mother and a business owner, I often get overwhelmed by everything I have to do - wishing I could be superwoman.  Yet, Debbie manages to be there for her family, run the foundation, and fight her cancer - our modern day superwoman.
